Product Description
Material: Made from high-grade cold rolled steel that is electro-zinc plated. Rust-resistant for your lifetime use.
Design: Ultra smooth soft-close function. Continuous bearings ensure smooth and quiet performance that offers less noise at closing and opening creating a silent life environment for your family. The lever disconnect and Black buckle on the third channel and lever disconnect design make it easy for the drawer to remove.
Installation method: Side installation. To determine which size of slides is good for your drawer, please measure the length of the drawer without the frame board. And if the length is not even, please choose 1 inch shorter. The length of slides can't be longer than the cabinet case depth. And face frame cabinets will require a rear mounting bracket, whereas for faceless cabinets the slides are mounted directly on the side.
Full Extension: Opening allows for the entire drawer to be accessed. Three-stage stretching can pull out the drawer completely. Rated for normal duty use.
How do ball bearing drawer slides work?
Ball bearing slides reduce friction and make it easier to slide the drawer in and out of its mounting position. It will not work to introduce drawers directly into the furniture. You'll be able to close and open the drawers, but there will be a lot of friction. This excessive friction is detrimental to both furniture and drawers. Ball bearing slides provide a solution for this. They allow drawers to close and open smoothly, reducing friction.
Most drawers consist of narrow, long enclosure units made of metal. The units consist of small balls that move along tracks set for the drawers. Ball bearings prevent the drawer from coming into direct contact and rubbing against the furniture it is installed on. The first set is connected to the cabinet groove, and the second set is connected to the drawer groove.
As the components scale up, the main component that moves is the drawer, which slides directly between the middle section and itself using ball bearings. When the drawer reaches the endpoints of the ball bearings, the middle part slides along the bearings with the cabinet until it is fully open. Just like the dual roller system, the orientation of the balls in each groove of the assembly gives it horizontal rigidity and allows for horizontal openings.
