INSTALL OR REPLACE DRAWER TRACK HARDWARE – Whether you are installing new drawers or repairing one that won’t open or close properly, 24-Inch Bottom Mount Drawer Slide fits most bottom-mounted drawer systems. The drawer slide kit is constructed of steel tracks with a white powder-coated finish and self-lubricating plastic rollers.
SELF-CLOSING DESIGN – The 24-Inch Bottom Mount Drawer Slide features a self-closing design that commences at the final 2-1/2” from the end of the 17-3/4” long tracks when closing.
EASY TO INSTALL – Installation is quick and easy, and the kit contains all the necessary fasteners. Installation instructions are included.
75 LBS MAX LOAD CAPACITY – The maximum load capacity for the drawer slide kit is 75 lbs. and is for use in 24” deep drawer cabinets. It features a positive stop in the closed position and a double stop in the extended position that locks your drawer open, so it cannot be pulled too far out and fall off the tracks.
INSTALLATION TIP – The clearance required between the drawer and the drawer opening for these slides is: 1/2” on the left and right sides, 1/4” at the bottom, and 5/8” at the top.
Reasons to choose bottom mount drawer slides
Bottom mounts allow you to build the drawer across its full width opening, minus ⅛ inch on each side. Compared with other installation methods, it can save more storage space.
If you use a single drawer slide at the center point, your hardware costs will be lower.
So when you use one slide on one drawer, you can reduce the weight load capacity to about half of the same drawer with two slides. In order to secure the mounting screws, you will need to make the bottom of the drawer 1/2" thick. Alternatively, add a spacer to the first drawer slide if you're using a thinner bottom. Most bottom mount sliders are ⅜" thick, but leave 5/16" below the bottom of the drawer for mounting.
